Play

African Americans make up 13% of the US population but 30% of the people waiting for organ transplants. This hour we'll discuss why the need for minority donors is so great. And some OSU scientists are fighting cancer one mile at a time. We'll hear about their medical and bicycle training. Plus we'll look at a new piece of the childhood cancer puzzle.

Guests:

Dr. Clive Callender, Director Emeritus, Howard University Transplant Program, and Founder of Minority Donor Awareness Week
Andrew J. Smith, principal at Maybury Elementary, organ donor
Taylor Brooks, undergraduate Pelotonia research fellow
Dr. Sameek Roychowdhury, professor of oncology at OSU, Pelotonia participant
