Artzine - COSI's Star Wars Exhibit, Brutalism

To celebrate the opening of COSI's Star Wars exhibit, we talk with CCAD graduate and only local graphic artist approved to draw and create Star Wars characters for serial comic books and posters. Joe Corroney made a limited edition poster for COSIs exhibit and we get a peek at his renderings and final creation.

Meet Jonathon Putnam, actor and quick change artist, as he prepares for CATCOs "Greater Tuna," a prequel to the popular, delightfully eccentric satire A Tuna Christmas. Putnam is a veteran of the TUNA series and we get a thorough look at what it takes to transform into so many different characters.

Patrick Doughtery has been creating one of a kind branch sculptures at the Franklin Park Conservatory over the past 5 months. Follow the transformation of samplings into sublime wind swept dwellings and figures.

Photographer Jason Wilson creates stunning black and white photographs of the Columbus skyline. Find out why he loves to work only at night.

And, the bunker-like and controversial building that houses the Ohio Historical Society finally gets a little respect. Find out what Brutalism is and why it is indeed beautiful.
