The Editors - Lethal Injection

Most Ohioans are aware of what has been called the botched execution of Toledoan Joseph Clark. Lethal injection is Ohio's only method of administering capital punishment because it is considered the most humane way to impose the death penalty. However, a process that should have taken just 10 minutes consumed nearly an hour and a half. Tom Walton, editor of The Blade, examines the growing controversy over lethal injection with Richard M. Kerger, Toledo attorney who has represented many death row inmates, and Dr. Jonathan Groner, associate surgical professor at Ohio State University.
