Description
Modern cars have been called smart phones with wheels, collecting as much as 25 gigabytes of data per hour, according to the consulting firm McKinsey.
All that data helps the car run smoothly, and that's a good thing.
But vehicles are also tracking us and that can be problematic.
Google last week began disabling cookies - and not the delicious kind - but the kind that tracks users' behavior online.
The first phase affects about 30 million Chrome users or 1 percent with more to come.
The company still plans to track you but with a feature they say is better for your privacy. Only time will tell.
