Description
The Ohio Supreme Court last week ruled that the Ohio Ballot Board did not abuse its discretion by keeping the proposed abortion amendment as one issue rather than dividing it into multiple issues.

The ruling was unanimous, and it means that proponents pushing to enshrine abortion and reproductive rights in the state constitution can continue gathering signatures for placement on the November ballot.

Proponents are pushing to put a measure on the November ballot that would enshrine abortion and reproductive rights in the state constitution. They must gather more than 400,000 valid signatures by July 5.

Opponents are pinning their hopes on a special August election and a ballot measure that would make it harder to pass constitutional amendments.

We discuss this and more on our Weekly Reporter Roundtable.

Guests:

Haley BeMiller, political reporter for the USA TODAY Network Ohio bureau
Natalie Fahmy, Statehouse reporter for NBC4
Jeremy Pelzer, politics reporter for cleveland.com
