In April, the Ohio House passed Bill 473, which approved new standards for withdrawing water from Lake Eire. Opponents say the bill does not protect the natural resource, while proponents note that the withdrawals will be regulated under the Bill. As the bill continues on to the Senate Floor soon, we'll look at the two sides of the issue, as well as the seven issues facing Lake Erie in the future.
