All Sides with Ann Fisher

Description
The history books are full of stories about the women who marched arm-in-arm to win the right to vote. Most of the heroes of the day were white women of means.

The actions of women of color tell a compelling story as well, one tainted by racism and displays intended to garner their support while denying their participation or credit.

Today on All Sides with Ann Fisher: the unequal struggle for voting rights as the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment approaches.

Guests:
Elaine Weiss, journalist and author of "The Woman's Hour: The Great Fight To Win the Vote."
Megan Wood, Director of Cultural Resources for the Ohio History Connection
Tammy Brown, PhD. in history, assistant professor, department of global and intercultural studies, Miami University of Ohio
