A yearly "Civility in America" survey found a record-high number of respondents citing incivility as a major issue that America faces today. For example, last month a man opened fire on a Republican congressional baseball team at their practice field in Alexandria, Virginia. In response to the attack, members of Congress recommitted themselves to a pledge of civility.
