Attorney General Mike DeWine : 2011-2019

Description
In December 2014, Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine appointed an Advisory Group on Law Enforcement Training made up of 16 members from across the state with diverse personal and professional backgrounds. The Advisory Group was charged with examining how Ohio trains its law enforcement officers and with making suggestions for improvement.

The Advisory Group was led by Dr. Reginald A. Wilkinson, the former director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Three subcommittees were also formed for in-depth study. These subcommittees include the Mental Health Subcommittee, the Use of Force Subcommittee, and the Community Relations Subcommittee.

This press conference explains the findings of the Advisory Group.
