Every year we celebrate March as National Developmental Disability Awareness month. This year's theme is, "Side by Side." People with and without disabilities working, going to school, playing participating in their communities together. So this month, it is our job as advocates to help others understand that people with disabilities each have their own story to share, be heard and we all must work "Side by Side" to make a difference in their lives.
