State Rep. Jeffrey A. Crossman (D-Parma) and Minority Whip Rep. Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) announce additional anti-corruption legislation that would strengthen accountability for state vendors and promote responsible fiscal stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
The Ohio False Claims Act would allow an individual whistleblower to bring a civil lawsuit to expose wrongdoing and to seek damages on behalf of the government against a state vendor that has engaged in corrupt activity, while the Debarment of State Vendors would require the debarment of state vendors who intentionally defraud the State of Ohio.
