State Senator Vernon Sykes (D-Akron), State Rep. and Assistant Minority Leader Thomas West (D-Canton), and Reps. Willis E. Blackshear, Jr. (D-Dayton) and Dontavius Jarrells (D-Columbus) will hold a press conference on Wednesday, March 30 at 11 a.m. in the George Washington Williams Room at the Statehouse to discuss voting rights, educational opportunities, support for minority-owned businesses and other issues affecting Black Ohioans. The press conference is part of the Alpha Day at the Capitol, an advocacy day hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
