Description
A presentation by Lincoln historian Gary Kersey from Wilmington, Ohio took place in the Statehouse Atrium on February 12, 2009. Kersey spoke about the legacy Lincoln left for America and displayed artifacts that he has collected through the years. Kersey's artifacts included Lincoln's cane that purportedly was made from the wood of his log cabin, Lincoln campaign medals and Lincoln's pocket watch. Kersey also brought a life mask and cast of Lincoln's hands, allowing each guest the opportunity to see Lincoln as he would have appeared in person.
