The 12th Congressional District special election is still too close to call, as voters in parts of Franklin and Delaware counties as well as those east in Zanesville and north into Mansfield went to the polls to choose who they want to fill out the seat vacated by longtime Republican congressman Pat Tiberi. Just over 1,500 votes separate Republican State Senator Troy Balderson and Democratic Franklin County Recorder Danny O'Connor. Still, as Statehouse correspondent Andy Chow reports, this outcome is being heralded by some that Democrats will see big wins this fall in statewide races¿and maybe even in the redo of this one this fall.

The Ohio Supreme Court dealt what appears to be a final blow to what was the state's largest online charter school.The Court upheld lower court rulings saying the state could use student participation data and not enrollment to determine funding for the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow. That means the order for ECOT to repay $80 million in state funding stands.
