Cleveland State University is preparing to celebrate its 50th birthday and the Sound of Ideas will spend an hour looking back on the life of this urban institution. CSU, which grew out of Fenn College, has had its bright moments and its rough years. Where does it stand now at 50? The campus continues to grow and to embrace the city around it. More students are living on campus. And academic standards are stricter.
