The Sound of Ideas

Description
The student senate at Stanford University wants the school to dump any investment that benefits the state of Israel. It's part of a growing strategy backers say promotes self-determination for both Israelis and Palestinians. Critics say the real aim is the destruction of Israel. Monday on The Sound of Ideas, we'll get some perspective from Middle east scholar Joel Beinin and we'll talk about the Israeli prime minister's upcoming speech to Congress.

Guests:

Joel Beinin, professor of Middle East history, Stanford University

Brian Amkraut, Executive Director, Siegal Lifelong Learning Program, Case Western Reserve University
