Description
Hunger among the elderly is a vexing, and growing, problem in the United States. As the elderly ranks swell, so, too, does the risk of older people going hungry. Poverty, isolation and physical limitations all play a role. On this edition of The Sound of Ideas, we'll talk to local advocates and hunger fighters --including those who deliver meals to the homebound --about the scope of senior hunger in Northeast Ohio and solutions that work.

Henry Koehler, Akron Resident

Joe Tomsick, CEO, Lake County Council on Aging

Kristin Warzocha, CEO, Cleveland Food Bank

Dr. Kali Thomas, Assistant Professor of Health Services, Policy and Practice at the Brown University School of Public Health
